The United States has rejected Russian accusations regarding drone attacks on the Kremlin presidential palace. The US called Russia’s claim “ridiculous” and denied responsibility for the drone attack on the Kremlin.
The incident has increased the risk of international tension.
Speaking to CNN, White House National Security spokesperson John Kirby denied US involvement in the attack, casting doubt on Moscow’s lack of knowledge of the details of the incident.
Kirby said, “It seems to be a ridiculous claim. The US has nothing to do with this and we don’t even know what happened here, but I assure you that the US had no role in it.”
According to international media, a drone attack was carried out on the Kremlin presidential palace last night to kill Russian President Vladimir Putin. An unknown drone collided with the dome of the palace and was destroyed, causing no casualties.
In a statement today, a Kremlin spokesperson said that the United States is responsible for the drone attack on the presidential palace because Ukraine’s actions have been approved by the United States.
The spokesperson said that Kiev takes orders from Washington and carries out attacks, and that behind such actions, it is not Kiev but Washington that is responsible.
