Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sahil Khan was caught in a controversy after threatening and posting derogatory messages about a woman on social media over a financial dispute.
According to Indian media reports, Oshiwara police received a complaint against Sahil Khan and filed a case against him.
The complainant woman told the police that last year in February, she had a dispute over money with a woman who is a close friend of the actor. Both of them threatened and demanded more money from me.
The affected woman also said in the complaint that after the dispute, Sahil Khan posted derogatory messages about me on social media, which caused a lot of harm to my reputation, so action should be taken against the actor.
The police have registered a case against the actor under sections 500, 501, 509, 504, 506, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. He has also been accused of extortion.
