According to the details, there has been a moderate decrease in the value of the dollar today, after two days of consecutive increases, with the dollar becoming cheaper by only two paisas.
According to the data released on the official social media account of the State Bank of Pakistan, on Wednesday, in the currency markets across the country, the dollar became cheaper by two paisas and closed at the level of 287 rupees and 13 paisas.
Forex dealers report that banks sold dollars to the income earners at 287.63 rupees, while it is being sold at 308 rupees in the open market.
It should be noted that in the first three days of the current week, the value of the dollar increased by one rupee and 31 paisas, while the selling price of the US currency in the open market is 308 rupees.
According to the data, in interbank trading, the value of the US dollar against the rupee decreased from 287 rupees and 15 paisas to 287 rupees and 13 paisas.
The data shows a 0.01% growth in the value of the US dollar, keeping in mind that the previous day, the interbank value of the dollar was recorded at 287 rupees and 15 paisas.
Furthermore, the State Bank has announced that during the period from January to March 2023, penalties worth 22 crore 40 lakh rupees have been imposed on five banks, while five related banks have violated the regulations.
