Lahore: An anti-corruption team raided the residence of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q, to arrest him, despite having been granted bail. Heavy police presence was reported during the operation.
According to reports, the anti-corruption team arrived at Elahi’s residence on Zahoor Elahi Road to make the arrest. A large number of police officers and personnel were also present with the team. Upon receiving information, the legal team of President PTI Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi arrived at his house.
The latest information suggests that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi is consulting with his legal team. Meanwhile, the anti-corruption team has conducted the raid to arrest him. However, at present, negotiations between the anti-corruption officials and Elahi’s legal team are ongoing.
According to sources, the anti-corruption team was informed by the legal team that Elahi had already been granted bail by the court. Despite this, the team proceeded with the raid on his residence.
