Arrests made in GHQ attack suspects involved in vandalism

Rawalpindi: Following the directives of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the police have started arresting the suspects who attacked GHQ. According to sources, the Rawalpindi police have arrested a suspect involved in vandalism at the General Headquarters (GHQ), whose identity has been revealed as Adrees, an employee of a district government office. The suspect was identified through a social media video.

It should be noted that the Prime Minister had ordered the arrest of the miscreants who caused damage to GHQ within 72 hours, for which a special team of Rawalpindi police has been formed. A case of vandalism at GHQ has been registered at RA Bazaar police station.

Meanwhile, in Toba Tek Singh, the police raided and arrested former Punjab Assembly member Javed Akram after conducting a search operation. The family confirmed Javed Akram’s arrest and stated that his son and daughter-in-law were also arrested by the Lahore High Court.

According to the police, the arrested individuals are involved in the siege and arson of the command house today.
