When will Eid be in Russia?
Across the world, today is the meeting of the committee to sight the moon of Eid al-Fitr. In Russia, today is the last day of Ramadan, and Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow (Friday). According to Russian media, the main Eid prayer gathering will be held at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque. The sermon and prayers will be held at 7:00 am and 8:00 am respectively.
It is reported that this year, Eid prayers will not be held at the Pakistani embassy due to the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. Therefore, Pakistani residents in Moscow are advised to turn to mosques instead of their embassy to perform Eid prayers.
In Moscow, live broadcasts of Eid prayers will be shown on TV channels on the morning of April 21. The broadcast from the Nukusensk Historical Mosque will be aired at 7:00 am, while the broadcast from the Moscow Cathedral Mosque will be aired at 9:00 am.
