Elon Musk has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Twitter. Musk, who is the founder of SpaceX and Tesla, recently announced that he had received the new role at Twitter, and will be taking charge of the software and system operations as the Chief Technology Officer.
The identity of the female CEO has not been officially confirmed yet, but foreign media reports claim that Linda Yaccarino, the Head of Advertising at NBCUniversal, will be taking over as the Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) following Musk’s appointment.
It should be noted that last year, Musk purchased $50 million worth of Twitter shares and stated that he would resign as CEO when someone foolish was found to take over the role.
