According to local police, the nature of the explosions is being determined. However, it is premature to say whether this was a terrorist attack. Four suspects have been killed in the aftermath of the explosions.

DIG CT-District Khalid Sahil stated that two explosions occurred in the CT-District Police Station in Kabal, and firearms and mortar shells were also present in the station. It is possible that the explosions occurred due to the detonation of mortar shells, but a suicide bombing cannot be ruled out either.

Khalid Sahil said that there was no explosion at the gate of the police station, and usually, a suicide bomber attacks the gate and detonates himself. The police station’s building was old, and most of the offices and officials were relocated to a new building.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif strongly condemned the explosions in the police station and expressed his grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives
