Former CCPO Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has retired

Lahore: Former CCPO Ghulam Mahmood Dogar retired today. According to sources, despite his suspension and transfer by the federal government, he had not resigned from his posting based on court orders.

On a request regarding Dogar’s posting, the Supreme Court had ordered elections in Punjab. Ghulam Mahmood Dogar had faced a lot of objections to filing a case against him as a federal minister. However, the Supreme Court suspended the order to transfer CCPO Ghulam Mahmood Dogar.

The caretaker government had removed Ghulam Mahmood Dogar from the position of CCPO, but after the court’s decision, he was reinstated and was posted in the Establishment Division.
