Islamabad High Court has issued an order for a medical check-up of arrested PTI leader Asad Umar.
According to details, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Injazeb heard the case on the application filed by Asad Umar’s wife in Islamabad High Court.
The position was taken in the application filed by Asad Umar’s lawyer that Asad Umar is not being allowed to meet his family. Meeting the family is his constitutional right, and he is also not being allowed to meet his lawyers.
The court granted permission for Asad Umar’s family and lawyers to meet him. The High Court, while issuing the order for a medical check-up of arrested PTI leader Asad Umar, stated that if necessary, examination can be conducted by specialist doctors from outside the prison, apart from the jail doctors.
It is evident that as part of the May 9 violent incidents, arrests were made of several PTI leaders, including Asad Umar, involved in arson and agitation, and they have been kept in Adiala Jail.
