Imran Khan Arrested In Al-Qadir Trust Case From Islamabad

Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, Imran Khan, was apprehended by Pakistan Rangers in Islamabad. According to recent updates, Imran Khan was taken into custody from the premises of the Islamabad judicial complex. Upon arriving at the court, Rangers personnel encircled Imran Khan’s vehicle and detained him. He was then transported to another location in a black Vigo vehicle parked nearby. It is reported that Imran Khan was en route to the biometric center before his scheduled appearance before the Islamabad High Court.

Sources indicate that Pakistan Rangers possessed arrest warrants for Imran Khan related to the Al-Qadir Trust case being investigated by the National Accountability Bureau. Footage of the incident captured the moment when Imran Khan’s lawyer sustained injuries during the arrest.

In response to Imran Khan’s arrest, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court promptly took notice and summoned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad and other officials to appear within the next 15 minutes. The court also requested an explanation from the government authorities regarding the reasons behind the PTI leader’s detention.
