Rawalpindi: In the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, terrorists attacked a military vehicle filled with explosives, killing 3 soldiers and one civilian.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the attack by terrorists in Datta Khel, Lance Naik Syed Allah Shah, Sepoy Jawad, Constable Hakeem Jan, and one civilian were martyred. The terrorists intended to target a large public gathering with a suicide bomb.
The timely efforts of the personnel prevented a major incident, as security forces had intercepted the suspicious vehicle.
The armed forces and law enforcement agencies are determined to eradicate terrorism. The sacrifices of the security forces further strengthen our resolve.
Prior to this, security forces had eliminated 6 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan. The operation took place in Appenzell Kot, where there was a fierce exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the 6 eliminated terrorists, highlighting the commitment of the local residents to collaborate with the military in the fight against terrorism.
