After the municipal by-elections, there is a possibility that the Pakistan Peoples Party may get 49, Jamaat-e-Islami 42, and Tehreek-e-Insaf 20 reserved seats in Karachi.
After the by-elections in 24 districts of Sindh, including Karachi, the process of municipal elections has been completed. The Pakistan Peoples Party has secured the first position in Karachi with 98 seats and has the possibility of getting a total of 40 reserved seats based on a majority.
The Pakistan Peoples Party may get 32 reserved seats for women, 5 each for youth, labor, and minorities, and 1 for disabled and Khawaja Sira from Karachi.
Similarly, Jamaat-e-Islami, which is second with 86 seats, may get 28 reserved seats for women, 4 each for youth, labor, and minorities, and 1 each for disabled and Khawaja Sira from Karachi.
In the Karachi municipal election, the third major party is the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, whose total number of obtained seats is 41, and it may get a total of 2 reserved seats.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has also won 7 seats in Karachi, and there is a possibility of getting 2 reserved seats for women based on these seats.
