On the first day of the business week in the country, there has been an increase of 2,000 rupees in the price of gold, while the value of the dollar has also seen an increase of 74 paise, according to All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association.
According to the association, the price of gold per tola in the country has reached Rs. 237,300 after an increase of Rs. 2,000.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold has reached Rs. 203,446 with an increase of Rs. 1,714.
In the international market, there has been a downward trend in the price of gold, and the value of gold remained $1,972 per ounce after a $10 decrease.
There is an ongoing series of increases in the value of the US dollar against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank and open market.
In the interbank market, the dollar closed at Rs. 286.56 after an increase of 74 paise. The interbank rate for the dollar was Rs. 285.82 the previous day.
Today, during a business transaction in the interbank market, the dollar became expensive by Rs. 2.18 and reached Rs. 288. On the other hand, in the open market, the dollar became expensive by Rs. 4 and reached Rs. 305.
