Twitter has started testing one of the most important features for users, it is a ‘soft block’ feature that no user will have to block.
This new feature is related to Twitter’s new privacy tools, through which the user will now be able to remove a follower without blocking, ie follow them, Twitter has started testing it.
Twitter Support announced this feature in a tweet on September 8, saying that you can remove any follower from the list of followers from your profile page.
According to Twitter support, all you have to do is click on the three-dot menu next to the name of the follower, which will have the option to ‘Remove Follower’. Will
This means that if you are tired of a follower, you will now be able to easily remove it from your list of followers, which will not even receive a notification from that person. Under the feature, followers will not be notified that they have been removed from the list because they can follow up again if they find out.
Previously, users did not have the option to follow but had to block this particular person for it. This feature of Twitter is now only available to users on the web version.
Note that this is very different from blocking a user, it will stop the other user from seeing your tweets and direct messages, and similarly you will not be able to see its activity. Twitter’s new Remove Follower feature is also a bit different from the Unfollow button, as it’s a soft way to create a little distance between you and someone else on Twitter.
If that user wants to follow you again, you will only need your permission to view your tweets that you have allowed only your followers to view, ie you request their following. If they accept, they will be able to see.
