Israel has continued its series of bombing on the strip of besieged Gaza for the fifth consecutive day, resulting in the martyrdom of 33 Palestinians, including women and children.
According to Al Jazeera, on Saturday, Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank fired on Balata refugee camp in the northern city of Nablus, martyring at least two Palestinians and injuring three.
Israel has rejected immediate ceasefire in Gaza, stating that it is the responsibility of Palestinian Islamic Jihad to stop firing rockets.
After Israel’s attacks on Gaza, Palestinian Islamic Jihad has announced further attacks on the strip.
Gaza’s Ministry of Interior has said that in the latest Israeli aerial attacks starting on Tuesday, 15 residential blocks have been destroyed, including more than 50 apartments, and 940 buildings have been damaged.
Under the auspices of Hamas, the spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Eyad al-Bozom, rejected Israel’s allegations, stating that innocent and defenseless Israeli civilians are becoming the target of Israel’s barbaric bombing.
In central Gaza, hospitals have been damaged by Israeli airstrikes. The director of one hospital has said that an Israeli aerial attack has caused damage to a hospital in the Deir al-Balah area of central Gaza.
Director Iyad Abu Zaher said that the windows of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital were shattered and several nurses and patients were injured.
