Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stated that legislation is the prerogative of Parliament and there should be supremacy of Parliament, constitution, and law in the country.
During a media interview in London, the Prime Minister said that the limits of all institutions have been determined in the constitution, and the alignment of institutions is not in the interest of the country. Everyone should respect the supremacy of the constitution and law.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the betterment of the people and the country lies in following the system according to the constitution. No society can be profitable anywhere at any level, the court, parliament, and other institutions should serve Pakistan together.
He said that the constitution has given the parliament a right which cannot be taken away. The parliament is playing its full role at the moment.
He said that in the previous government, the opposition was targeted for political revenge, and the previous government was targeting opponents, and there was no one to ask questions. Today, courts are in session and providing bail in minutes. Bail in minutes is a standard that no one will like.
