Sunday and Monday holidays cancelled, important orders issued Islamabad: Senator Talha Mahmood, under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, held a meeting on Hajj arrangements in which briefing and directives were given. He cancelled the ministry’s three-day official holiday and issued orders for Hajj preparations to the relevant authorities.
The Minister of Religious Affairs said that Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be spent by all officials at the Hajj Secretariat, as time is short and it is our duty to provide the best facilities to the pilgrims.
Senator Talha Mahmood urged pilgrims to understand the rituals and administrative affairs of Hajj, and to give special attention to women’s education and specific issues.
He also emphasized that male pilgrims should not compromise on the training of women for Hajj, and that pilgrims should obtain information through the Saudi mobile app and Pakistani Hajj assistants in Saudi Arabia for guidance.
The Minister of Religious Affairs further stated that private Hajj scheme participants should only book through approved companies, and to be cautious of low-cost Hajj announcements on social media, and to verify their bookings through the ministry’s website prior to booking.
