3 Killed, 20 Injured In Lahore Blast

At least three people were killed and 20 others were injured in an explosion at Niwanarkali Pan Mandi in Lahore.

The blast took place at Pan Mandi in New Anar Kali Bazaar area of ​​Lahore at a time when a large number of people were present there. The blast was so severe that it destroyed six motorcycles and nearby shops, while vehicles also caught fire.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. Medical personnel have confirmed the deaths of 3 people while medical aid is being provided to 20 injured.

Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation while special police teams were gathering evidence. DIG Operations says preliminary evidence suggests a motorcycle was used in the blast.

Deputy Commissioner Lahore on New Anarkali blast said that heavy material was used in the blast. According to the Lahore commissioner, 28 people were injured in the blast, including three women, while the condition of five others was critical.

Deputy Commissioner Lahore said that details would be revealed in next one to two hours. The Lahore commissioner said the injured were being treated at hospitals and Lahore police and forensic teams were determining the cause of the blast. He added that no place was indicated in the high alert.
