Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Maj. Gen. Babar Iftikhar has said that action has been taken against the soldiers responsible for Ehsanullah Ehsan’s escape.
Talking to foreign media, Maj. Gen. Babar Iftikhar, Director General, Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), said that the escape of Ihsanullah Ihsan, a member and former spokesman of the banned extremist Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), was a very serious matter. While a few years before Ehsanullah Ehsan, action has been taken against the military officers responsible for escaping from the custody of the Pakistani army.
Major General Babar Iftikhar said that efforts were being made to re-arrest Ihsanullah Ihsan, adding that at present it was not known where Ihsanullah Ihsan was.
Asked about the Twitter threat to Nobel Prize-winning social activist Malala Yousafzai, ISPR Director General Major General Babar Iftikhar said that according to information, the Twitter account from which Malala was threatened was a fake one.
