Many celebrities paid tribute to the Pakistani cricket team.
Despite the high performance of the national cricket team in the T20 match between Australia and Pakistan today, Pakistan lost and various personalities tweeted and praised the Pakistan cricket team for their good performance and also paid tribute.
“Dear Team Pakistan, you are shining like the brightest stars in the entire tournament,” PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said in a statement on social networking site Twitter.
He said that the team brought happiness and joy to a nation which was longing for it. He also said that defeat and victory are part of the game and you gave your best in it on which we Proud of you
Arif Alvi, on the other hand, tweeted that the Green Shirts played well but lost.
“Congratulations to Australia on winning the match,” he said.
The President further said that today’s match was good.
Member Senate of Pakistan Faisal Javed has said that Pakistan cricket team has won the hearts of the entire nation.
Faisal Javed said in a tweet that today Pakistan cricket team performed very well.
He said that the team played with passion, worked hard and kept putting smiles on the faces of compatriots.
He also said that there were some mistakes in the semi-finals and there were shortcomings in the bowling selection but still Pakistan cricket team emerged as a strong team.
He further said in his tweet that thank you Team Pakistan.
In addition, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said in his tweet that the team, Pakistan is proud of you.
He said that the Pakistani team made every Pakistani proud with its consistency, discipline and passion through a wonderful series.

It may be recalled that in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup, Australia defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets after a thrilling contest.
