Getz Pharma’s ‘Care for Heroes’ initiative reaches Islamabad, Jhelum, Abbottabad, and Muzaffarabad to make clinics and wards COVID 19 Safe

Islamabad 24 June 2020: committed to its mission of providing the community at large with quality healthcare, Getz Pharma has launched a “Care for Heroes” initiative to safeguard Pakistan’s healthcare providers who are selflessly working to combat the pandemic. As of 9 May 2020, Getz Pharma started a disinfection drive in northern Pakistan under the umbrella of this initiative.
A total of 122 patient wards in various hospitals and 620 doctor’s clinics in Islamabad, Jhelum, Mirpur, Chakwal, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra and Muzaffarabad have been disinfected with a disinfectant substance authorised by the WHO (CHEMGENE HLD4).

Talking of the project, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Umar (SI) — Vice-Chancellor, Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU), Rawalpindi said: “Getz Pharma is doing a praiseworthy job of fumigating the Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi and District Head Quarters Hospital to manage the spread of corona, which is time-consuming. Institutions funding is also welcomed, aiming to improve their patient care programs

Maj. Gen. (R) Azhar Mahmood Kayani (Chairman & Chief Cardiologist, Medikay Cardiac Centre, Islamabad) said: “Getz Pharma has made an outstanding contribution and a much needed operation. Please stay tuned and done well.

While appreciating the efforts of Getz Pharma, Prof. Muhammad Naeem Malik (Chairman and Head of Cardiology, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad) said: “Thank you, Getz Pharma, for disinfecting my entire center as an initiative against the spread of Covid-19. I believe this is a very positive step and Getz Pharma has played a part in the movement against this pandemic by also providing hospitals in the country with PPEs and other protective material. Getz Pharma has disinfected Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Islamabad, Poly Clinic Hospital Rawalpindi, Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi, Benazir Bhutto Hospital Rawalpindi, Rawalpindi District Health Center, Rawalpindi Cardiology Institute (RIC), Ayub Medical Complex (AMC) Abbottabad, Advance Liver & GI Center, Medikay Hospital Islamabad and The Diabetes Center (TDC) Islamabad.

Getz Pharma is disinfecting more than 8000 clinics, 650 hospital wards and conducting free screening tests of more than 25,000 doctors across Pakistan under its “Care for Heroes” initiative. The company also provides protective equipment such as masks, sanitizers, and gloves, and conducts free FDA-approved antibody testing of more than 25,000 doctors, particularly in isolation centers, to ensure the safety of health care professionals fighting on the front lines to combat this pandemic.

The company is also encouraging others in the private sector to help ease the burden on the government by stepping up together to fight this pandemic.
