The federal government has announced that 80 buses will soon reach Karachi.
According to details, a report has been submitted in a case related to transport facility in Karachi.
The report said that phase one of the 24 km track of Karachi Green Line bus service has been completed while the second phase will be completed by March 2021.
The report said that 80 buses would soon reach Karachi for which all tenders have been issued while an agreement has also been reached with a Chinese company for Green Line and Orange Line buses.
The report further said that the project which would be completed at a cost of Rs 11 billion would be handed over to the Sindh government while 24 stations would be constructed at a cost of Rs 24 crore.
In this regard, the government has said that full cooperation will be extended to the Sindh government for running the green bus. However, the hearing of the case has been adjourned till April 1.
