The report states that the crime rate in the Saudi city of Madinah is extremely low and almost non-existent, making it the safest city for women.
The report named Paris, the most famous city in Europe, the most unsafe city for women traveling alone, citing a rise in crime.
The report claims that Chiang Mai in Thailand is the second safest city for women traveling alone, followed by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
The British agency’s report ranked Japan as the fourth safest city for women, and Macau, China, was ranked fifth on the list.
The institute has included in its research some of the basic things, including lone women traveling alone at night, roaming freely, crime rate and other citizens’ attitudes and cooperation towards women.
