The federal government has reduced PIA fares for Gilgit and Skardu.
According to details, the spokesperson of the Governor’s Secretariat said in a statement that Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Raja Jalal Hussain Khan Maqpoon had written a request to the federation for reduction in fares on which the federal government reduced PIA fares for Gilgit and Skardu.
A spokesman for the Governor’s Secretariat further said that the PIA fare for Gilgit and Skardu has been fixed at Rs 6,915.
Earlier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) had reduced fares for the winter.
According to sources, PIA had introduced special discounted fares for winter on the special instructions of CEO Air Marshal (retd) Arshad Malik.
PIA sources said that 30 per cent discount in fares has been given on all domestic flights after which the domestic fare has been reduced from Rs 12,275 to Rs 8,500 while the bilateral fare has been reduced to Rs 17,000.
