Minister of State for External Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar has said that a stable and peaceful Afghanistan is of utmost importance to Pakistan.
Special Representative for Afghanistan Muhammad Sadiq has called on Minister of State for External Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On the occasion, Hina Rabbani Khar said that the incidents of targeting Pakistani security forces from Afghanistan were a matter of concern but Pakistan respects Afghanistan’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He said that Pakistan was committed to continue its efforts for peace in the region including Afghanistan.
During the meeting, Special Representative for Afghanistan Muhammad Sadiq gave a detailed briefing to Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar on the law and order situation in Afghanistan and the region.
It may be recalled that Additional Secretary Afghanistan Amir Aftab Qureshi and DG Afghanistan Asif Memon were also present on the occasion.
Yesterday, Hina Rabbani Khar took charge as Minister of State for External Affairs.
He visited the Foreign Ministry in Islamabad where he was received by Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood and other officials of the Ministry.
