The Taliban have shown no desire for peace, Ashraf Ghani

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said in a speech after Eid al-Adha prayers that the Taliban had shown that they had no desire for peace.

The Afghan president said that this Eid was named in honor of the sacrifices and courage of the Afghan army, which last week worked on a plan to overcome the current situation.

 Ashraf Ghani said that there was no place for militia and dictatorship in the country.

“The Taliban have shown that they have no desire for peace. We will make decisions on that basis,” he said.

It should be noted that a rocket was fired near the presidential palace during Eid-ul-Adha prayers in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

According to Afghan media, rockets were fired near the presidential palace. Eid-ul-Adha prayers were being offered at the presidential palace at the time of the attack. At least two rockets were fired near the presidential palace.
