Rawalpindi: 6 soldiers of the Pakistani army were martyred in an exchange of firing with terrorists in North Waziristan, while 3 terrorists were killed.
According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, an exchange of firing with terrorists took place in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan.
ISPR stated that in the exchange of firing, 3 terrorists were killed and 2 soldiers were injured, while 6 soldiers of the Pakistani army were martyred.
The spokesperson of the Pakistani army stated that among the martyrs were Havaldar Saleem Khan, Naik Javed Iqbal, Sepoy Nazir Khan, Sepoy Hazrat Bilal, Syed Raja Hussain, and Basimullah Jan.
The spokesperson further stated that security forces are determined to eradicate terrorism and an operation is underway to eliminate the possible presence of terrorists in the area.
