Notification issued regarding the appointment of 8 members of the National Industrial Relations Commission

Islamabad: The federal government has issued a notification regarding the appointment of 8 members of the National Industrial Relations Commission (NIRC).

According to details, after the approval of the federal cabinet, the Ministry of Information has issued a formal notification regarding the appointment of 8 members of the National Industrial Relations Commission.

The members include retired sol Seront Syed Noor-ul-Hassanain, retired district and session judge Abdul Qayyum, Sohail Akram, Muhammad Zubair, lawyer Muhammad Siraj-ul-Islam Khan, Abdul Ghani, and Munawar Hussain Tori.

The cabinet had approved the appointments on vacant positions based on a summary presented by the Ministry of Information. These positions had been vacant for the past 9 months in the National Industrial Relations Commission.

The National Industrial Relations Commission is an attached department of the Ministry of Information, which was established under Section 53 of the Industrial Relations Act 2012. The responsibilities of the NIRC include resolving industrial disputes, registering trade unions, determining bargaining agents, ending unfair treatment of workers, and eliminating inter-provincial rivalries and individual protections in Islamabad.
