Pakistan Senate Passes Supreme Court Review and Judgment Order Bill Amid Opposition Protests.

“The Supreme Court Review and Judgment Order Bill has been sent to the President of Pakistan for authentication after being approved by the Senate with a majority vote. According to details, the President of the country, Arif Alvi, has been sent the Supreme Court Review and Judgment Order Bill, which was passed by the National Assembly and the Senate to give it a formal legal shape.

After the approval of the President of Pakistan, the bill will have legal authority. Under the said bill, section 184/3 gives the option of review for any convicted person against the sentences given in previous decisions.

It is worth mentioning that the Supreme Court Review and Judgment Order Bill was presented in the house by Senator Irfan Siddiqui, a member of the ruling party. Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani conducted a vote on the motion for the bill, with 32 in favor and 21 against, and the bill was passed by a majority vote.

There was a strong protest from the opposition against the bill. They surrounded the dais of the Chairman of the Senate and made loud slogans. During this time, members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chanted slogans against the fake bill and the imported government.”
