Lahore: The Chief Minister of Punjab, Usman Buzdar, has said that there is a fear that the police can arrest anyone anytime.
According to details, a request for protective bail was made on behalf of Usman Buzdar by the Anti-Corruption Punjab in the matter of his arrest. The court has stopped the Anti-Corruption authorities from arresting Usman Buzdar.
The Lahore High Court has directed Usman Buzdar to appear before the Anti-Corruption Inquiry, but he did not appear today, upon which the court said that if he did not appear today, then the request for bail would be rejected.
However, on the other hand, the court has extended the order of not arresting Usman Buzdar until tomorrow, rejecting the request to withdraw the order of arresting Usman Buzdar made by the lawyer of the Anti-Corruption.
Before the hearing, former Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar said that the caretaker government is registering cases on political basis, I am appearing in ongoing Anti-Corruption inquiries, yesterday the Anti-Corruption authorities attempted to arrest me, I am afraid that the police can arrest me anytime.
He said that I want to have bail and be included in the investigation, that is why my request is that the court orders the record of the Anti-Corruption DG’s cases to be provided.
