Sources reported that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has decided to seek a vote of confidence from the National Assembly, and the vote of confidence will be taken during the National Assembly session today.
Prior to this, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif addressed the members of the assembly during the parliamentary party meeting, and presented the overall situation of the country before the assembly members.
The Prime Minister said in his address that the elections in the country would be held on the same day, and the decision of the Supreme Parliament would have to be accepted.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the government would implement the decisions of the parliament on every issue, and there would be no compromise on the supremacy of the parliament.
It should be noted that in the case related to the elections, a three-member bench of the Supreme Court had expressed concern about the lack of majority with the Prime Minister, and for the vote of confidence, the Prime Minister needs a simple majority of 172 members. The vote of confidence will be taken through open voting.
