New York: Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has proposed to declare Sindh and New York as sister states.
Dr. Ajaz Ahmed, Chairman of the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee, welcomed Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori, and Deputy Speaker of the New York State Assembly, Phil Ramos, also participated in the welcome.
During the meeting, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori proposed to declare Sindh and New York as sister states, which was agreed upon by Deputy Speaker Phil Ramos, who further discussed the proposal.
A delegation from the New York State Assembly will soon visit the province of Sindh regarding this matter.
Governor Sindh said that an agreement will be presented in both assemblies to establish Sindh and New York as sister states, and cooperation will be promoted between universities, hospitals, and research institutions in Sindh and New York. Student exchanges and scholarship opportunities will also be facilitated for bright students.
Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori also said that Karachi and New York share the common traits of being coastal cities and commercial centers, and Karachi is honored to be the financial capital of Pakistan.
Dr. Ajaz Ahmed, Chairman of the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee, also gave a welcome speech in honor of Governor Sindh.
