PTI has received a significant relief from the court.

The Lahore High Court has declared the notification approving the resignations of 72 members of the National Assembly from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as null and void.

According to ARY News, the Lahore High Court heard the petitions against the approval of resignations of 72 members of the National Assembly from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, including Riaz Fatiana. Justice Shahid Karim presided over the hearing. After the hearing, the Supreme Court declared the notification of resignations as null and void upon the request of the Speaker and the Election Commission.

The Lahore High Court has also directed the MNAs of PTI, including the party’s MNAs, to appear before the Speaker for the withdrawal of their resignations. The Speaker of the National Assembly has been instructed to hear all members again and make a decision.

The court has suspended the notification of approval of resignations of the 72 PTI MNAs, including central leaders Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Fawad Chaudhry, Hammad Azhar, Shafqat Mahmood, Riaz Fatiana, and others.
