Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has made contact with the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, Sirajul Haq. According to details, during the phone conversation, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif conveyed his Eid greetings to Sirajul Haq and discussed the current political situation. Sirajul Haq said that as the Prime Minister, it is your responsibility to find a solution to the political crisis. The Prime Minister clarified that he is consulting with allied parties after meeting with him and has summoned a meeting of allied parties on April 26.
It is clear that the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, Sirajul Haq, has started a series of contacts to persuade parties to negotiate in the political crisis. In the past few days, he also met with Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan, after meeting with the Prime Minister.
During the hearing of the “electoral rigging” case, Sirajul Haq appeared in the Supreme Court where he suggested that it would be better to hold elections on a suitable date after the big Eid. In a media interview after the hearing, he said that Pakistan is suffering from political and economic crises, and the political crisis has also led to a constitutional crisis. The negative effects of these crises are most felt by the poor people. There is no other way than elections, and elections are not just for two parties, but for all political parties. A stable government should be established at the federal and provincial levels, and millions of Pakistanis who go on Hajj should not be deprived of their right to vote.
