Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has introduced digital facilities for travelers on the King Fahd Causeway to Bahrain.

According to Urdu News, the administration of the King Fahd Causeway, which connects Saudi Arabia to Bahrain, has launched the Jisr App for payment of travel fees.

Through the Jisr App, travelers can pay the travel fees for their trips to and from Bahrain using the self-service system.

The administration of the King Fahd Causeway has also provided another facility, whereby the technology of electric plates is used to identify the cars.

When a car passes in front of the electric scanners, all the information related to the car’s number plate is instantly transmitted to the computer of the immigration officer at the counter.

In addition, the administration of the King Fahd Causeway has also added an online payment facility, which includes scanning the passenger’s identification through a scanning camera system.

A special chip scanner is placed on the windshield of the car. When the car arrives at the gate, all the necessary procedures are automatically carried out, and the car is given permission to pass.

Moreover, an auto-payment facility has also been provided through a QR code, which can be charged through a digital account of frequent travelers.
