Surprising Increase in Pakistan’s Total Population, Statistics Department Report

According to a statement issued by the Chief Statistician regarding the national population, Pakistan’s population has reached nearly 250 million.

In reference to the 7th census, Chief Census Commissioner Na’im Al-Zafar briefed the media, revealing that the country’s population has reached 249,566,743 at present.

According to the Chief Commissioner of Census, Punjab’s population has reached 127,474,802, while Sindh has a population of 57,931,907.

He stated that the data collection for housing and population census will be concluded tonight, and no complaints have been received regarding the census process. The data collection phase has been completed.

The armed forces provided security to the census teams, and the system used for the census is transparent.

It should be noted that in the previous year of 2022, Pakistan’s total population was 220,425,254, with a male population of 111,693,464 and a female population of 108,731,790.

Prior to that, in 2017, Pakistan’s population exceeded 207.6 million according to the previous census. According to a report, by the end of 2023, the world’s total population could reach approximately 8.2 billion.
