Karachi: The Railway Ministry has taken notice of the fire that broke out in a bogie of the Karachi Express and search for missing persons is also underway.
According to details, after the incident of the fire in the Karachi Express, the Railway Ministry ordered an investigation while two passengers were killed in the incident and four passengers are missing, and their search is underway.
According to the Railway Ministry, on the night of April 26 and 27, during the Karachi Express, which was going from Karachi to Lahore, the AC business coach caught fire, and the train was stopped near Tundu Masti Khan station.
The Railway Ministry said that the fire brigade was informed immediately, and the first fire brigade reached the scene at one o’clock at night and controlled the fire after about forty minutes.
According to the Railway Ministry, 70-year-old Rabea Bibi was severely injured after jumping from the affected coach and could not recover from her wounds later. The identity of the second passenger who lost his life is not known yet.
After the incident, DS Sukkur, DCO Sukkur, and other railway officials were present at the scene and continued to monitor the situation and report to the ministry. After separating the affected coach from the Karachi Express, it departed for its destination at seven in the morning.
