Karachi: On the instructions of the Minister of Information and Transport, Syed Shibli Faraz, raids were conducted on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr to prevent passengers from being charged extra fares.
According to details, the Secretary of the Provincial Transport Authority issued warnings to 16 public transport companies for charging excess fares.
During the checking by the Transport Department, these transport companies were found to be involved in charging passengers extra fares.
The Secretary of the Provincial Transport Authority has issued a warning to revoke the route permits of these 16 companies.
