According to details, Eid al-Fitr is being celebrated today in Saudi Arabia, Gulf countries, America, Canada, and Britain. A grand gathering for Eid prayers was held at Masjid al-Haram and Masjid al-Nabawi.
More than twenty million people offered Eid prayers led by the Imam of Masjid al-Haram, Sheikh Saleh al-Homaid. The soulful scenes of Eid prayers at Masjid al-Haram were witnessed while Sheikh Abdul Bari led the Eid prayers at Masjid al-Nabawi.
Palestinians turned towards Masjid al-Aqsa to offer Eid prayers. Large gatherings for Eid prayers were also held in the United Arab Emirates, and beautiful scenes of Eid prayers were witnessed.
Eid is also being celebrated today in Afghanistan, Turkey, Qatar, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Europe, Central Asia, and America. In Britain, there will be two Eids again, with Eid prayers being offered on Friday at mosques following the Saudi Arabian tradition, while the Ahle Sunnat Jamaat mosques will celebrate Eid on April 25.
The moon of Shawwal was not sighted in Oman, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, and most other countries of the world. Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated in these countries next week.
