According to sources, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has granted permission for the Afghan delegation to travel to Islamabad for the meeting scheduled for May 6.

As per foreign news agency Reuters, Amir Khan Muttaqi was under travel restrictions for a long time by the Security Council, and his assets were frozen as well.

The Afghan Foreign Minister is under travel restrictions by the United Nations, and he requires permission from the UN for any country’s travel.

Sources have revealed that the Pakistan-China-Afghanistan trilateral foreign ministers’ meeting will be held in Islamabad on May 6, with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi presiding over the meeting.

Sources have also revealed that the Afghan Foreign Minister will hold separate meetings with his Pakistani and Chinese counterparts.
