“Wheat production has increased in the last 10 years,” says Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, a review meeting on the purchase of wheat was held at the government level, where a briefing was given on the goals of purchasing wheat reserves by federal and provincial departments.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the record wheat production of 275 million metric tons, instructing all departments to increase their efforts towards achieving their goals.

Shahbaz Sharif said that due to timely decisions of the government, there has been a magnificent wheat production, and despite difficulties, the farmers who planted wheat are deserving of congratulations.

He said that for the next year, practical measures are being taken for even higher production, and due to the previous government’s mismanagement, Pakistan has become a country that earns revenue by exporting wheat.

In the meeting, he issued directives that strict action be taken against hoarders, and all officers should ensure the timely purchase of wheat.
