About the Savings Calculator
A regular savings plan — depositing the same amount every month — is the most reliable way for Pakistani families to build wealth, whether the goal is an emergency fund, a child's education, a wedding, or a plot of land. This savings calculator projects how monthly deposits grow when each instalment earns compound profit, so you can see the finish line before you start.
The calculation compounds your monthly deposit at the annual rate you enter. Because deposits are made every month, the first deposit earns interest for the whole period while the last earns almost none — the calculator accounts for this, giving you a realistic future value rather than a rough guess.
Where you keep monthly savings matters: Roshan Digital Accounts for overseas Pakistanis, high-yield saving accounts, mutual fund systematic investment plans (SIPs), and prize bonds each behave differently. The safest comparison is the profit rate each product actually pays, entered here with the same monthly amount, to see which grows your money fastest for the same risk.
Inflation is the silent enemy of savings. If the inflation rate is higher than your profit rate, the purchasing power of your savings falls even as the rupee balance grows. To plan in today's money, subtract expected inflation from the profit rate before running the calculation — for example, use 5% instead of 9% if you expect 4% inflation.
The results show three numbers: how much you will have deposited in total, the future value including profit, and the profit earned. Comparing these three across different rates and tenures is the clearest way to decide how aggressively to save and for how long.
About the EMI Calculator
An EMI (Equated Monthly Instalment) is the fixed amount you pay a bank or lender every month until your loan is fully repaid. It is the single most important number to know before signing any home, car, bike, or personal loan agreement in Pakistan, because it determines how much of your monthly income goes to debt and for how long. This EMI calculator lets you see that figure instantly for any loan amount, interest rate and tenure.
The calculation follows the standard reducing-balance amortisation formula used by State Bank of Pakistan-regulated banks and non-bank finance companies. Interest is charged on the outstanding principal, not the original amount, which means early payments go mostly toward interest and later payments mostly toward principal. Understanding this is why comparing EMIs across banks can save you hundreds of thousands of rupees over a 10-year home loan.
When Pakistani banks quote a home finance rate, they usually offer KIBOR-based pricing — for example 'KIBOR + 3%'. The effective annual rate you enter should be the full percentage you will actually pay, not just the spread. Use your bank's stated effective rate, or the advertised rate for a car or personal loan, to get a realistic EMI figure rather than an optimistic one.
Use this calculator to experiment before you negotiate: increase the down payment to shrink the principal, lengthen the tenure to lower the monthly EMI (at the cost of more total interest), or shop between banks to find the lowest rate. A rule of thumb is that your total monthly debt payments should not exceed roughly 40–50% of your take-home income, so check your EMI against that before committing.
The results show your monthly EMI, the total amount you will repay (principal plus interest), and the total interest component. Keep these numbers when comparing bank offers — they reveal that a slightly higher rate over a long tenure costs far more than a small difference in the monthly figure suggests.
Why compare calculators?
Choosing between two financial products, two tax regimes, two phones or two loan offers comes down to the numbers — and numbers are easiest to judge side by side. Our comparison mode shows both calculators live on one screen: change a value on either side and watch the results update instantly. Whether you are weighing a filer vs non-filer tax scenario, comparing EMI across tenures, or checking two electricity tariffs, the answer is one screen away. Your inputs never leave your browser.
