Ahmad Massoud

Ahmad Massoud, born on July 30, 1989, in Panjshir, Afghanistan, is the son of legendary Afghan commander Ahmad Shah Massoud. After the Taliban takeover in August 2021, Ahmad Massoud became the face of the National Resistance Front (NRF), leading armed resistance from the Panjshir Valley. Educated at King's College London and Sandhurst Military Academy, he has been a vocal advocate for democracy and human rights in Afghanistan. He has called for international support for the Afghan resistance and has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Massoud represents the hope of a new generation of Afghans who continue to resist Taliban rule.
