Ajay Devgn

Vishal Veeru Devgn (born 2 April 1969), known as Ajay Devgn, is an Indian actor, director, and producer who works in Hindi cinema. One of the most commercially successful actors in Bollywood, Devgn has appeared in over 150 films and has won four National Film Awards. Born in New Delhi and raised in Mumbai, Devgn is the son of action director Veeru Devgan. He made his debut with "Phool Aur Kaante" (1991), which was a commercial success. His intense acting style and ability to portray complex characters quickly made him one of Bollywood's most sought-after actors. Devgn's most successful films include "Zakhm" (1998), "The Legend of Bhagat Singh" (2002), "Gangaajal" (2003), "Singham" series (2011-2024), "Drishyam" series (2015-2022), "Tanhaji" (2020), and "Singham Again" (2024). The "Singham" franchise made him synonymous with the cop action genre in Bollywood. "Drishyam," a thriller about a man protecting his family, was remade in Hindi, Telugu, and even Hollywood. Devgn is also a director, having directed "U Me Aur Hum" (2008) and "Shivaay" (2016). He co-owns the production house Ajay Devgn FFilms and is the co-owner of IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (along with Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla). He married actress Kajol in 1999, and they are one of Bollywood's most enduring couples.
