Andranik Teymourian

Andranik Teymourian, born on March 6, 1983, in Tehran, Iran, is an Armenian-Iranian former footballer who was one of the most charismatic and recognizable players in Iranian football. Known for his distinctive hairstyle and passionate playing style, Teymourian was a midfielder who played for Persepolis, Esteghlal, Bolton Wanderers in England, and Tractor in Iran. He earned 101 caps for Iran, scoring 9 goals, and was part of the 2006 and 2014 FIFA World Cup squads. His time at Bolton Wanderers in the Premier League made him one of the few Iranians to play in England's top flight. Teymourian was known for his emotional celebrations and deep connection with fans. His Armenian-Iranian heritage made him a symbol of Iran's multicultural society. After retiring, he became involved in charity work and football development programs in Iran.
