Arijit Singh

Arijit Singh (born 25 April 1987) is an Indian playback singer who is widely regarded as the most popular and talented male singer in contemporary Bollywood music. Known for his soulful voice and emotional delivery, Singh has become the defining voice of modern Hindi cinema. He has sung over 300 songs in Hindi and other Indian languages. Born in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal, Singh was trained in Indian classical music from a young age. He gained initial recognition through the reality show "Fame Gurukul" (2005), finishing as a finalist. He made his playback singing debut with the film "Crook" (2010), but his breakthrough came with "Tum Hi Ho" from "Aashiqui 2" (2013), which became one of the most popular Bollywood songs of the decade.
