Farhad Darya

Farhad Darya, born on September 22, 1962, in Kabul, Afghanistan, is one of Afghanistan's most beloved musicians and cultural ambassadors. Known as the 'Voice of Afghanistan,' Farhad has been singing for over three decades and has released over 30 albums. His music blends traditional Afghan folk music with contemporary sounds and has been a source of national pride. Farhad is also a humanitarian who has used his music to promote peace, unity, and tolerance. He established the 'Heart of Afghanistan' foundation to support music education. Despite being threatened by extremists, he has continued to advocate for peace through music. His song 'Yaars Taliban' became an anthem of resistance. He lives in exile in the United States but continues to record and perform for Afghan audiences worldwide.
