Ghulam Quddus

Ghulam Quddus (born 1940) is a Bangladeshi industrialist and the founder of the PRAN Group, one of the largest food and beverage companies in South Asia. He built PRAN from a small trading firm into a global brand with operations in over 90 countries. Born in Comilla district, Quddus started his career in the 1960s as a fruit and vegetable trader. After Bangladesh's independence in 1971, he established his business empire systematically, focusing on processed food, beverages, and snacks. PRAN (Prosperous Rural Area Network) became a household name in Bangladesh. Under Quddus's leadership, the PRAN Group expanded to include PRAN Foods, PRAN Beverages, and Laila Group. The company's products are now sold in over 90 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Middle East, and Africa. PRAN-RFL Group has a turnover of over $2 billion and employs over 100,000 people. Quddus has been recognized as one of Bangladesh's most successful entrepreneurs. He was awarded the CIP (Commercially Important Person) award multiple times and has been featured in various business publications.
