Hassan Yazdani

Hassan Yazdani, born on January 1, 1994, in Juybar, Iran, is one of the greatest freestyle wrestlers in the world and a national hero in Iran. Competing in the 74kg and 86kg weight classes, Yazdani has won multiple Olympic medals, World Championships, and Asian Championships. He won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics in the 74kg category, defeating American wrestler Jordan Burroughs in one of the most memorable matches in wrestling history. He also won silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the 86kg division. Yazdani's aggressive wrestling style, incredible strength, and technical brilliance have made him a dominant force in international wrestling.
